OHS ADVISOR
Saint-Éphrem-de-Beauce, QC, Saint-Georges, QC

- 1 position based in St-Georges, with occasional travel to St-Raymond
- 1 position based in St-Éphrem, with occasional travel to Mirabel
Position Summary
The OHS Advisor is responsible for the management, coordination, monitoring, and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety activities for the two plants under their responsibility.
The role acts as a subject matter expert for managers, supervisors, and Human Resources, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk prevention, incident management, and the ongoing development of the HS management system.
The incumbent also ensures HSE compliance for Québec-based employees assigned to job sites (Canada and the United States), without on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee overall HS activities
- Support and advise supervisors, managers, and HR teams
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (CNESST, laws and regulations, public health, CISSS)
- Work with plant leadership to prioritize site-specific issues
- Maintain and update HSE tools and systems
- Coordinate HSE compliance for field employees (position based in St-Georges)
- Manage workplace accidents and incidents, and support CNESST case management with HR
- Maintain, enhance, and communicate prevention programs
- Update HS policies and safe work procedures
- Plan and conduct periodic HS audits
- Follow up on corrective actions from investigations, audits, and other initiatives
- Coordinate and participate in HSE committees at each site
- Manage HSE training programs (planning, tracking, compliance)
- Monitor and analyze HS statistics
- Administer HS platforms (ISNetworld, SafeContractor/Cognibox)
Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written
- Availability to travel occasionally between assigned sites
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and team mobilization skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
