**13 days on site / 9 days at home**
Main responsibilities:
The Debarker Development Technician works in the Engineering Department to ensure the proper development and improvement of the debarker. This role consists of:
- Working closely with the engineering team to find solutions for specific mechanical issues;
- Participating in the improvement of debarker components;
- Diagnosing potential debarker issues at customer sites and finding solutions;
- Performing and testing mechanical modifications directly on Comact equipment at the customers’ site;
- Participating in the development and testing of equipment at the Saint-Georges (QC) R&D Center;
- Communicating planned and upcoming site visits in collaboration with the Special Projects Manager, including details of the work to be performed;
- Collaborating with various departments: Optimization, Automation, and Manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Hold a diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology;
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing;
- Experience in the sawing industry (an asset);
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret plans;
- Good priority management skills;
- Possess a valid passport and driver’s license.
